Far beyond the normal human drive to find food, I’m constantly plotting my meals in search of the next dish I can’t stop talking about. That applies when I’m traveling, too; my itineraries mostly consist of restaurants and street food stops, and I try to recreate those dishes at home, whether it’s Sicilian pane cunzatu or Mexico City–style fresh tuna tostadas. Restaurants, cooking, and traveling are my three big loves in life, and I can skillfully write—and edit—stories about all three.
While I do cover trending new restaurants and buzzy chefs, my real passion is using food media as a vehicle for change, amplifying the voices of people who are underrepresented in the food industry, especially women, trans, and nonbinary people, as well as BIPOC folks, immigrants, and food and drink creators who aren’t traditional chefs.
